Hunger Relief
Catholic Charities upholds Catholic social teaching with the belief in the dignity of every human person.
Every person has basic rights and is entitled to have basic needs met including food, shelter, clothing, education and health care. No one should have to put a child to bed hungry or be forced to choose between food, medicine, housing or utilities. Yet for over 200,000 East Texans, these are realities that are faced every day.
Catholic Charities works with its partner pantries to ensure that no one goes hungry by providing grants, technical support, education and volunteers. Every dollar spent at the East Texas Food Bank for pantry assistance provides eight nutritious meals to individuals and families in our communities who rely on our member pantries for food.
Catholic Charities is currently assisting 39 parishes all across the region with Hunger Relief within the Diocese of Tyler. If your church or community would like assistance with Hunger Relief, please contact Catholic Charities at 903 258-9492 or email us info@cctyler.org
